Through its web site developers, Recordon copied the content wordforword and even used the same graphics and layout.The arbitrator set Recordons liability at $61,154 and found that it directly infringed the copyrights of Brayton Purcell. The firms web site developers, Apptomix, Inc and Jonathan Lee, were liable for $122,309. Their employee had added the elder abuse section to the Recordon site, committing willful copyright infringement, according to the arbitrators decision.The total monetary award includes development and other web site costs as well as attorney fees.
